Economic Development

We have included retail, commercial and industrial businesses in our economic development program to promote the City of Greenfield around the world.  In the past three years we have developed our new 53 acre Progress Park located at the northwest corner of I-70 and State Road 9 that also includes another 250 undeveloped acres which were annexed into the City, Zoned Business Park and included in the T.I.F. District.  This has prepared Greenfield for the next 20 years of growth.

Elanco (25 million dollar investment with over 320 employees), Stanley Black & Decker (over 3 million dollar investment with over 204 employees), Lee and Ryan (remodeled Ashley Carpet and moved their business from Indianapolis) continues to grow with over 50 employees.  Last year we had over 65 NEW businesses or existing businesses remodel in Greenfield.

On per capita basis, that was a better growth factor than Fishers.  We have added over 103 FREE parking spaces downtown for our citizens, customers and visitors to our fine city.  We are adding sidewalks from McKenzie Road along State Street (State Road 9) for EVERYONE to be able to get to our commercial areas.

We continue to get inquiries from all over the world interested in Greenfield.
